Welcome to The Pheasant, the award-winning pub, restaurant and hotel on the Essex/Suffolk border.

Nestled on the Essex/Suffolk border, with views over the surrounding countryside, The Pheasant pub has opened a brand new boutique hotel, inspired by historical local icons. The pub’s Coach House country hotel opened its doors in July last year, and have already welcomed guests from as far as Southern California in America. Our new, stylish hotel rooms are proving to be a big success. We decided to name the hotel rooms after local notable people to celebrate East Anglia’s heritage. Iconic figures like Gainsborough and Constable are well known, but we also wanted to celebrate lesser known people who have strong connections to the area.

Guests arriving for a refreshing drink, delicious dinner, or peaceful overnight stay in our boutique hotel, soon see that comfort and quality are served as standard. We have created a warm and inviting restaurant, serving freshly prepared, locally sourced regional food every day of the week. Comfortable chairs, beautiful oak tables and an open fire create an intimate and friendly atmosphere. We want our guests to know where they are in the country, and what time of year it is when it comes to our menu.

Please, take a look around our site, and feel free to call on 01787 461196, if you need any further information. We look forward to welcoming you at The Pheasant soon!
